Infertility Sucks: The Story Behind This Website

For most of my life, I believed getting pregnant would be simple. It’s what we’re taught growing up, isn’t it? Be careful. Don’t get pregnant too young. Use contraception. The message always felt like pregnancy could happen instantly if you weren’t careful enough. But when my husband Tom and I started trying to have a baby, we quickly learned that for some people, it isn’t that simple at all.

Infertility has a way of creeping into your life quietly at first. Month after month passes, and you tell yourself not to worry. Maybe it’s stress. Maybe it will happen next month. But eventually those months turn into years, and suddenly you find yourself in doctors’ offices, having tests you never imagined you’d need, learning new words like hormones, follicles, sperm motility, and IVF. It’s overwhelming, confusing, and at times incredibly lonely.

One of the hardest parts of infertility is how isolating it can feel. While the world around you seems to move forward with pregnancy announcements and baby photos, you can feel stuck in a place where hope and heartbreak exist side by side. There are moments where you feel strong and optimistic, and others where the weight of it all feels almost impossible to carry. It’s an emotional rollercoaster that many people experience silently.

That’s one of the reasons I created this website. I wanted to build a space where people navigating infertility and IVF could come and feel understood. A place where the reality of this journey can be spoken about honestly — the injections, the waiting, the fear, the resilience, and the hope that somehow keeps you moving forward. Because the truth is, infertility affects so many people, yet it’s still something many struggle to talk about openly.

Alongside sharing my story and experiences, I also wanted to create something that celebrates the babies who sometimes come after these long and difficult journeys. That’s where Tiny Miracles Co. was born — a small brand dedicated to the little miracles who were worth every injection, every tear, and every moment of hope along the way.

If you’re here because you’re walking your own fertility journey, I want you to know something important: you are not alone. Whether you’re at the very beginning of trying to conceive, navigating fertility tests, going through IVF, or simply looking for a community that understands, this space was created with you in mind.

Infertility sucks. There’s no sugar-coating that. But even in the middle of one of life’s hardest journeys, there can still be connection, support, and hope. And sometimes, if you’re very lucky, there can also be a tiny miracle waiting at the end of it all.
